One of the fun and exciting aspects of pickleball is the variation of play available!  Most players began their pickleball experience in a setting most call "recreation play."  Additionally, there is league and tournament play.

 

In 2012, the first East Valley Interclub League (EVIL) was formed starting out as a men’s league with teams from Ahwatukee (ARC), Sun Lakes Cottonwood, Sun Lakes IronOaks, Solera and Trilogy. The league was very successful and in 2019, a core group of  that leadership formed what is known as APPL, Arizona Pickleball Players League.  Read more about their story here:  Arizona Pickleball Players League

IronOaks has had several EVIL teams in past years and many of our players have participated in the RAPPL leagues in 2020 and 2021.  For 2023, we have six teams competing. The season starts with the 3.5 Men's Team B Home game on January 3, 2023.
